The very best of Ostrobothnian food served to Pop-up Ostrobothnia visitors.
It will only be for three days, but between the 11th and the 13th of June there will something out of the ordinary on the Senate Square in Helsinki. And luckily for every hungry passer-by, it is food! The best of the best among Ostrobothnian chow is selected and mixed together to become a pop-up eating feast including both a restaurant and a Street Food area to be enjoyed by the visitors of the three-day long event Pop-up Ostrobothnia.
The philosophy behind the food is simple, tells the man behind the concept, Kim Hellman, owner of two successful restaurants in Vaasa on the west coast. It is important that the customer will be able to see how the food is prepared. Also the possibility to ask the chef about the food is key. In addition the products used are selected with much care so that only the best of the best is served to the customers. The menu includes whole-roasted pork, fresh fish from the Kvarken area, ice cream from 3 Kaverin Jäätelö, and beer from Bock’s Corner Brewery (and stronger products from Kyrö Distillery Company) among chocolate indulgence from Hemgården.
In other words, when you get hungry, you know where we’re at! Welcome to Pop-up Ostrobothnia!
